Jeanie Adkins, Mercer
Adkins, a consultant in the human capital business in Mercer’s Louisville office, works with clients to develop rewards solutions that support their organizational environments and business and talent strategies. She works with organizations to identify and plan for critical talent needs, including designing workforce planning processes, talent assessment approaches, and employee value propositions and reward strategies (base and incentive compensation programs, career pathing, performance management). She has worked with clients across a variety of industries including manufacturing and consumer products, retail, healthcare, utilities, higher education, not for profits and public sector. Client projects include workforce planning, total rewards strategy and compensation strategy development, and global banding/compensation program design. She has a master’s degree in human resources management and labor economics from Cornell’s School of Industrial and Labor Relations.

Karl Ahlrichs, SPHR, ExpertSpeaks
Ahlrichs is a national expert in the people side of business.  He is first and foremost a Human Resource consultant, but also has a broad range of experience in a wide range of business roles.  He has trained management in Chicago, marketed software in Orlando, and launched an office of Right Management Consultants in San Diego.  Karl is an SPHR (Senior Professional, Human Resources), and is qualified to administer many assessment tools.

Baker, LLC, a consulting company specializing in management and leadership development, labor relations, and operational efficiencies.   Mike has 25 years in aluminum manufacturing leadership and management roles from Sales to Operations.  As General Manager of two large union facilities with sales approaching $1 Billion dollars and employment of over 1200, Mike utilized both the HR professionals and the USW leadership to drive positive cultural and performance change.  Mike has been a guest lecturer at the Indiana University Kelley School of Business and the Owensboro SHRM chapter.  Mike currently serves on the Board of Directors of the Hancock County Industrial Foundation.

Brent R. Baughman, Greenebaum Doll & McDonald PLLC
Baughman is a member (partner) in Greenebaum Doll & McDonald's Labor and Employment Practice Group and serves as Co-Chair of the firm’s Appellate Team.  Brent received a B.A. from the University of Louisville, and an M.B.A. and law degree from Indiana University - Bloomington.  He is a past chair of the Louisville Bar Association's Labor and Employment Law Section and has spoken widely on those issues.  He currently serves as Vice-Chair of the Kentucky Bar Association’s Appellate Advocacy Section and has been selected for inclusion in The Best Lawyers in America the last two years in the field of Appellate Law.

Childress’ work with the Center for Quality People and Organizations (CQPO) focuses on Human Systems Lean Management training for business, education and community organizations.  Gene created the Governmental Service Center at Kentucky State University. His consulting clients have included Toyota, United Distillers, Vintners and Chrysler/BMW/Tritec in Brazil.  He has served on management and advisory boards for Blue Cross/Blue Shield, the University of Kentucky Management Center and the Center of Excellence for Quality at Kentucky State University.  Gene is a member of the National Speakers Association.  The Ohio Jaycees and the Kentucky Certified Public Manager Association honored Gene by naming their state leadership awards the “Gene W. Childress Award.”

Greg Churchman, Churchman Consulting Solutions
Churchman is an Interview and Retention Strategist and owner of Churchman Consulting Solutions. His areas of specialty include competency-based interviewing and selection; retention, staffing, high team performance and leadership development. He is author of the book Daterviewing and has written several articles in business journals and industry magazines. With a degree in Electrical Engineering and several years experience in human resources, Greg has a unique perspective when working with diverse staffs, management levels and organizations.

Jim Cockrum, Frost Brown Todd LLC 
Cockrum represents a wide range of employers - from Fortune 100 companies to sole proprietors getting their first start. She wrote “The Sherpa Guide: Process-Driven Executive Coaching”, the book that set clear standards for an important new industry.  Corbett’s book is the text for executive education at Penn State, the University of Georgia and Miami University. Her Sherpa Coaching certification is the only one endorsed by multiple universities. She’s trained and certified coaches for Duke Energy, the Royal Bank of Scotland, Toyota and many others. Corbett also delivers innovative team coaching. Teresa A. Daniel, JD, PhD, InsideOut HR Solutions PLLC
Daniel is an employment lawyer, HR consultant/trainer, author and MBA faculty.  She is also the President of InsideOut HR Solutions PLLC, an HR consulting firm located in Ashland, KY (www.insideout.bz).  She is also an Associate Graduate Faculty member of Marshall University’s Executive MBA Program in Charleston, WV, and its traditional program in Bangalore, India.  Prior to joining the academic world, Teri spent more than 15 years working for Ashland Inc. (at the time a Fortune 50 company) in positions ranging from employment attorney to Divisional Vice President- Human Resources & Communications.  Teri has been selected as a Fulbright Senior Specialist and honored as a Distinguished Alumnus of Centre College in Danville, KY. She is the author of two books and numerous articles dealing with ethics, leadership, and people-related legal issues. Brian Dausman, Mercer
Dausman, a consultant in the human capital business in Mercer’s Louisville office, works with clients to develop rewards solutions that support their unique organizational environments and business strategies, with a focus on linking pay and performance. He works with organizations to design reward strategies, job analysis methodologies, base and incentive compensation programs, career pathing frameworks and performance management systems. Throughout his career, Brian has worked in both consulting for Mercer and in corporate compensation leadership roles for Fortune 100 and privately-held organizations. Kenneth J. Dietz, Jones, Dietz & Swisher PLLC

Ellis is a second generation Diversity/ Inclusion consultant.  He was invited by SHRM as one of the top 100 experts on Diversity/ Inclusion to participate in the first International symposium/ think tank on the subject.  He founded IDC in 1991 and has served the Diversity needs of some of the most admired company’s in the World.  Ellis was brought into Toyota 14 years ago to serve as the external architect for Toyota’s diversity initiative.

William P. Emrick, Jones, Dietz & Swisher
Emrick is an attorney at law with the law offices of Jones, Dietz and Swisher based in Lexington. From 2004-2008 he served as the Commissioner/Executive Director of the Kentucky Department of Workers Claims. Cathy Fyock, CSP, SPHR, Resources Global Professionals
Fyock is a CSP, SPHR, and an Employment Strategist with Innovative Management Concepts.  She has been helping organizations develop strategies to recruit and retain top talent in an aging and changing workforce for more than 20 years.  She has been a speaker at SHRM’s annual conference since 1986, and she’s been a faculty member for the HR Generalist program for 15 years.  She is a past chairman of the Human Resource Certification Institute board (in fact, her signature may appear on your PHR or SPHR certificate!), and a past-president of the Louisville SHRM chapter.  Fyock currently serves as the Diversity Director for the KY SHRM Council.  She is the author of five books, including her newest book, The Truth About Hiring The Best.  She also serves as Director of Recruiting for Resources Global Professionals, an international consulting firm.

Lyle Hanna, SPHR, Hanna Resource Group
Hanna has worked as an HR professional for over thirty years.  He has served on the corporate staff of a major global technology firm, headed HR for a national hospitality organization, and worked as a consultant with an international HR consulting firm.  Currently, He is the President of Hanna Resource Group, a company he created to build people equity.  Hanna is also the past Chair of the Kentucky Chamber of Commerce, vice chair of the Habitat for Humanity International Board of Directors, and Chair of the Kentucky Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM) State Council.  In 2005, KY SHRM established an award called the Lyle Hanna Spirit Award to recognize other volunteers who give mightily of their time and talent to the human resource profession.

Rubi Ho, Sherpa Coaching
Born in Vietnam, he and his family escaped from Saigon in 1975, the day before it fell. They settled in Denver, Colorado. Her work has achieved national recognition and has been featured in publications such as USA Today, Wall Street Journal, Chicago Tribune, WebMD, and various human resource and wellness publications. Lovely holds a degree in Health/Wellness Promotion, a graduate certificate in Health Promotion Management and several certifications including Certified Health Education Specialist, Certified Wellness Program Director, and Certified Advanced Fitness Specialist. Lovely serves on the Wellness Councils of America National Advisory Panel and the U.S. Worksite Wellness Alliance. She is a regular speaker and presenter on worksite wellness programs.

John T. Lovett, Frost Brown Todd LLC
Lovett serves as Co-Chairperson of Frost Brown Todd's Labor and Employment Law Department. He is a Charter Member of the American Employment Law Council. Leila G. O’Carra, Associate, Wyatt, Tarrant & Combs, LLP
O’Carra is an associate in Wyatt, Tarrant & Combs, LLP’s Labor & Employment Service Team.  She concentrates her practice in the areas of employment and general litigation.  O’Carra received her B.S. from Vanderbilt University and her J.D. from the University of Kentucky.  Prior to joining the firm, she served as a law clerk to the Honorable Jennifer B. Jennifer E. Swanberg, Ph.D., University of Kentucky, Institute for Workplace Innovation
Swanberg is the executive director of the Institute for Workplace Innovation (iWin) at the University of Kentucky, and an associate professor in the UK College of Social Work with joint appointments in the Colleges of Medicine, Business & Economics and Public Health. Her research has focused on quality workplaces as a business and work-life effectiveness strategy, access to workplace flexibility among under-represented working populations, and the use of human capital and quality employment as a form of economic development. Kenji Tashiro, Greenbaum Doll & McDonald PLLC
In 1995, Tashiro moved to the U.S., and attended the Louis D. Brandeis School of Law at the University of Louisville from where he received his Juris Doctorate in 1999. Trasee E. Whitaker, SPHR, Woodward, Hobson & Fulton, LLP
Whitaker is the human resource manager for the firm, a regional, full service law firm with offices in Lexington and Louisville.  She has been with the firm for 11 years and has over 20 years of exempt Human Resources experience.  Whitaker is the Chair of the Kentucky SHRM State Council of the Society for Human Resource Management.  She is the Past President of the Louisville Society for Human Resource Management and has held a variety of leadership positions in LSHRM, KYSHRM, and other community organizations. Whitaker graduated from The Ohio State University with a B.A. in Communications and is certified as a Senior Professional in Human Resources (SPHR) by the Human Resource Certification Institute.
